On 16 February, the employees of Gugarq Division of Police checked 'Ford Transit' car driven by Armen B. in the administrative area of Vahagnadzor Community and found around 3 cum timber in the trunk. The driver was detained by Gugarq Division of Police with his car with the suspicion of conducting illegal tree felling.
The same day the car driven by Lyudvig H. was checked and around cum of timber was detected. The driver said the timber belongs to Gevorg M., who came to the police and informed he had obtained the timber from the forest adjacent to 'Lori' resort house in Vahagnadzor Village by cutting down three trees with a gas chainsaw.
Professional examinations have been appointed – an investigation is in progress, as the official website of the Armenian Police informs.
