Charges have been pressed with another 7 people based on the fact of exercising violence and hooliganism towards the policemen in the course of the riots having occurred in the protest demonstration in Ijevan, which is now investigated in the proceedings of General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee. Another person has been involved as an accused and now he is wanted.

Earlier we had informed that in the evening of 17 July, there was a clash between the protesters and the policemen in Ijevan Town, Tavush Region. The Tavush residents had blocked Yerevan-Ijevan interstate road complaining against the reinforcement of the regime against illegal tree felling, violated the public order intentionally and exercised dangerous violence.
As of today, 21 people have a procedural status of the accused.
