RA Ministry of Emergency Situations is in talks with RA Ministry of Environment to open roads in the forests, as Minister of Emergency Situations Feliks Tsolakyan said at the press conference on February 5.
‘When we first talked about it, they said something interesting to me: when you open a road in the forest, it means cutting down trees. In the past, when they wanted to pave the way, environmentalists made a noise. To be honest, I am against that noise, otherwise we lose more than cutting down those trees. This is the least of the evils. We are not rich in forests as a country; we have 10 percent of forest land. And if we cannot preserve forests, we will lose a great deal,” Feliks Tsolakyan said.
