New Tourism Information Center in Areni for Benefit of Community Development

A new milestone for sustainable development in Arpa Protected Landscape - the Areni Visitor Center has opened as a tourism information hub aimed at promoting sustainable tourism within the community.

The furnishing of the center and the development of tourism services were carried out through the Market development component of the  “Living Landscapes for Market Development in Armenia” (LILA) project. The latter is implemented by WWF-Armenia in collaboration with  the Strategic Development Agency․

As noted by WWF-Armenia’s Director Levon Aghasyan during the opening ceremony: “We are confident that this cooperation will continue in the future - for the conservation of Armenia’s nature and the socio-economic development of our communities.”

"Living Landscapes for Market Development in Armenia" (LILA) project is funded by the Government of Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and is implemented by Caucasus and Armenia offices of the WWF, in partnership with the Strategic Development Agency NGO.
