“House of Environmentalists” civic initiative posted a video on Facebook on March 21, reporting large-scale logging in the areas of “Dilijan” National Park and Dilijan community.
Kima Avdalyan, Press Secretary of Chair of RA Investigative Committee, informed Ecolur that, in connection with the incident, criminal proceedings have been initiated at Tavush Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee under Article 387, Part 2, Clause 6 of RA Criminal Code (illegal logging of trees, shrubs or vegetation cover, or transportation of illegally obtained logs, trees or shrubs).
