It’s planned to plant 200 ha forest in Shirak Region from 2014 to 2017, as the Socio-economic development plan of Shirak Region for 2014-2017 says. The funding planned for the regional reforestation males up 240 million AMD. Shirak Region is one of Armenian regions with few forests: at present only 2033 ha have trees out of 4660 ha of forest land areas.
