The citizens continue holding a protest demonstration in front of Yerevan Municipality against the tree felling in the area adjacent to Myasnikyan Statue and the construction in progress. The protesters are demanding to stop the construction and the resignation of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan.

In its turn, Yerevan Municipality has disseminated a clarification that in the frames of capital rehabilitation of the park located in between Italia and Beyrut Streets in Yerevan only dry and aging trees have been cut down in line with professional opinions. Yerevan Municipality is informing that it is planned to supplement the park with new and high-value trees as many as four times in the frames of improvement works, which will be in harmony with the park.
