The mining area of the company is 378.6 hectares and the mine area is 291.1 hectares. The life of the mine, according to the EIA, is estimated to be 34.6 years in line with the reserves estimated in 2017. As of 2017, the C1 + C2 mine residual reserves amounted to 16144820 tonnes, with gold - 2.82 g/t, silver - 54.49 g/t, copper - 0.66%, zinc - 2.73%, lead - 0, 16%. The ore is processed at “Chaarat Kapan” Combine with annual output of 600,000 tons. The ore extraction coefficient is 0.95. It is planned to place an empty rock storage area in an abandoned desert area of Shahumyan village. The total area occupied by the circular barren rock is 5.5 ha, the volume of stored rock is 409.46 thousand m3. A new 3.58 hectare area will be used for the warehouse. The maximum number of stored rocks is 113218 m3 (2020) and the minimum is 24038 m3 (2022). It is planned to use the stored rock for filling the underground mine as well as for raising the dam at Geghanush tailing dump. Felling is possible for the warehouse area.

The EIA also presents the Shahumyan gold-polymetallic mine closure program.

This program outlines a number of risks:

• Pollution of soil, surface and groundwater by drainage of wastewater;

• Accidents caused by landslides and collapses of rock accumulated in the dumps.

• Tailings water discharges;

• Risk of contamination of surface and groundwater;

• Loss of flora and fauna representatives;

Note that Geghanush tailing dump, operated by "Chaarat Kapan" company, which has 32 hectares, 11.37 million m3 planned capacity, has a risk of collapse. And up to 8- magnitude earthquake is forecast in the region.
