“Zangezour Copper and Molybdenum Combine” CJSC did not ensure the environmental flow in the Voghji River, thus violating the requirements of the water use permit issued for production purposes. Administrative proceedings have been initiated, as Nature Protection and Mining Inspection Body informed.
On August 25, Armenian Environmental Front posted on its Facebook page that the Zangezour Copper and Molybdenum Combine had begun construction near Qajaran Village, most likely to build a new crushing plant. "The mine dumps are dumped right on the bank of the Voghji River, dozens of meters away from the village houses. In response, the inspection body informed. "No violations were revealed within the framework of the other issues raised. The company does not build a new crushing station, and the empty rocks excavated during the production are filled in the dumps defined by the production design.”
