In 2018 around 72 mining companies received warnings from RA Ministry for Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources for the default of the contract conditions and not paying duties and debts, as Minister for Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Vardan Gevorgyan noted during his interview with the journalists in the frames of the conference dedicated to the first national report on the EITI in Armenia.
'Around 12 companies dealing with metallic mining and around 60 non-metallic mining companies have been issued warning: this process is a continuous one and those companies having not performed their obligations, will be deprived of their permits,' he said.
