On 25 June, at 12:00, the second public hearings on the extension of the project on the geological prospecting in Nrnadzor copper and gold-bearing ore vein will be held at Meghri Town Municipality, as the website of the Environment Ministry informs.
The previous hearings were held on 16 May when Meghri community gave its initial agreement to “Nariprof” LLC to continue the geological prospecting in Nrnadzor copper and gold-bearing ore vein.
Nrnadzor (Newvadi) copper and gold-bearing ore vein is located north-east from Nrnadzor Village of Meghri optimized community, at a distance of 4.5 km, and occupies 1.0 km2 area, according to the expert assessments. The area partially overlaps with the area of Areviq National Park, where geological prospecting is banned to be carried out in line with the governmental resolution №1209 dated on 15.10.2009.
