The Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia Lilia Shushanyan participated in a workshop organized by the EITI Board in Oslo, Norway on February 10-12.
The Deputy Minister was present at the roundtable discussions of the EITI implementing countries, where the agenda items included possible changes to the EITI validation procedure, energy conversion and corruption prevention in the mining sector. During the visit Lilia Shushanyan met with the EITI International Secretariat on the topic of Armenia's first validation. Overall, the International Secretariat highly appreciated Armenia's reforms to increase transparency in the sectorial field over the last three years, as the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia informs.
