


In order to overcome the accumulated socio-ecological problems in the enlarged community of Akhtala, Lori Region, it is planned to develop the socio-ecological policy of the community. Data collection for policy development will be carried out within the framework of "Social and Environmental Responsibility" project through "Data collection tool-measure for environmental and social policy assessment". Active residents of the community were involved in the current works.
The joint work of the community with the local self-government will allow to identify, discuss the socio-ecological problems and risks in the community, to understand the priorities for their solution or mitigation.
On November 19, 2021, during her meeting in Akhtala and Mets Ayrum settlement of Akhtala enlarged community, Rosa Julhakyan, a project expert and PhD in Chemical Sciences, presented the concept of the format, which reveals the socio-ecological problems in Akhtala enlarged community and community development prospects. The residents of the community and the head of the enlarged community of Akhtala Arkady Tamazyan spoke about the ecological risks in the community, social problems and ways to overcome them.
The meetings in Akhtala were organized by " Center for Community Mobilization and Support " NGO, a member of "Social and Ecological" consortium, and "EcoLur" Informational NGO.
