"AV Mining" LLC has submitted to RA Environment Ministry the request for a preliminary environmental impact assessment of geological prospecting for gem and gold in Arnidzor mineral field in Lori Region.
The second public hearing of the application is scheduled for January 20, 2022, at 12:00 in the office of Katnaghbyur settlement head in Stepanavan community.
Arjidzor mineral field is located in the catchment area of Arjidzor and Snkadzor rivers, 23 km Stepanavan town, and 8 km from Katnaghbyur Village. The requested area occupies an area of 407.5 hectares, within which the company intends to explore, assess, and calculate gold and gem reserves.
The right-wing section of Arjidzor goldfield is located at the origin of two right tributaries to the Dzoraget River and extends to the lower reaches of the tributaries, occupying the adjacent and surrounding watersheds, and the left bank on the left bank of the Dzoraget River, in front of the Snkadzor River. Under the project, there will be no pollution of water resources, no leaks are planned with the technology of geological survey works. Under the project, the claimed area is free of forests.
It should be noted that according to the declaration on real beneficiaries published on the website of RA Justice Ministry, "AV Mining" LLC was registered on February 17, 2021. The 100% shareholder of the company is Arthur Gevorgyan, a citizen of the Republic of Armenia.
