

The second public hearing of the application for the preliminary environmental impact assessment of the planned works is scheduled for 14:00, April 22, 2022 in the residence of Administrative Head of Shenatagh (Lernashen) settlement of Sisian community, Syunik Region.
The observed area is located in the middle and upper reaches of Lernashen River, on the southern slopes of Mount Sevqar (Kara-kaya). The geological survey is planned to be carried out in an area of about 312.8 hectares. The works are planned to start in the second quarter of 2022 and end in 2 years.
According to the application, the contents of metals are 0.9 g/t of gold, 30 g/t of silver, 0.3% of copper, 1.3% of lead and 1.1% of zinc.
The observed area is 35 km away from Sisian town, 4.2 km away from Dastakert settlement, and only 1.5 km away from Shenatagh village. The application says: "Geo Survey" LLC plans to transfer 50,000 AMD to the budget of Shenatagh Community every year."
Under the project, there are no forests, animal habitats or habitats in the area under review, no animal and plant species red-listed in Armenia. However, about 3 km northeast of the requested site, south of Dastakert, two red-listed plant in RA Red Book of Plants, Astragalus agassii Manden and Dracocephalum botryoides Stev-Dragon, were recorded above 2800 m above sea level.
The company plans to allocate 50,000 AMD for the implementation of environmental monitoring.
"Geo Survey" LLC was established on May 18, 2016. The 100% owner of the company is Sergey Otaryan, a citizen of the Republic of Armenia.
