"Fero Group Gold" Intends to Prospect for Gold Next to Hanqavan State Reserve

In 2022-2024, "Ferro Group Gold" LLC wants to conduct a geological survey in the area south of Tukhmanuk gold mine, called "Vlad". The second public hearing of the project for the preliminary environmental impact assessment of the planned works is scheduled for June 15 at 11:30 am at the residence of Administrative Head of Lusagyugh settlement of Aparan community.

The requested area is about 100 m away from Hanqavan hydrological reserve. The objects of special protection of Hanqavan Hydrological Reserve are the upstream water ecosystem of Marmarik River, natural outlets, including mineral water springs, living and inanimate monuments of nature.

The south-eastern site of Tukhmanuk gold mine is located within the administrative boundaries of Lusagyugh settlement of Aparan community. The requested 67.5 hectares is a community-owned pasture. The hydrographic network of the requested area is represented by Qasakh River and its tributaries. There are no surface flows in the requested area. No water sources are mentioned within the area. The nearest spring is located in the south-western part of the site, which is separated from the requested area by a watershed, about 250 m away.

According to the declaration on Real Beneficiaries published in State Register of Legal Entities of RA Justice Ministry, "Ferro Group Gold" LLC was registered on February 18, 2022. The company is owned by two citizens of the Russian Federation, 29-year-old Shamo Telmani Feroyan and 20-year-old Roman Suren Feroyan with 50-50% participation.
