

"Litchqvaz" CJSC plans to build a beneficiation factory in the immediate vicinity of Litchqvaz -Tey mine in Meghri Community, Syunik Region. The planned area borders "Arevik" National Park in some parts of the border.
The last 4th public discussion on the environmental impact assessment (EIA) report of the plant construction project will take place on at 4:00 p.m. June 28, 2023, in the administrative building of Vardanidzor Settlement of of Meghri consolidated community, Syunik Region.
The planned activity will be fully implemented within the boundaries of the mountain allocation provided to the Company. The area of the plot of the main part of the planned activity place makes up 35.88487 ha.
The construction area of the factory makes up about 1.2 ha. A part of the mining factory is outside the plot granted to the company with the development right, it is a community property with agricultural purpose.
The tails are planned to be placed in the mine pits later.
It should be noted that the planned beneficiation factory construction project contradicts the second requirement of "Environmental impact assessment report of Licthqvaz-Tey gold mining project" BP 60 conclusion issued on 29.06.2017, according to which ore processing (factory, tails, etc.) and implementation of accumulation works is excluded in the given area.
The company has soil management permit SHATV-29/293 for Litchkvaz-Tey gold mine in Syunik Region the term of which is from 22.11.2012 to 08.02.2036.
The amount of redeemable mineral reserves provided to the company makes up 2995.856 thousand tons of ore, out of which gold is 17650.85 kg, silver - 105.124 tons, copper - 13.2121 thousand tons.
