In 2023, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body published the annual report for 2023. According to the document, a total of 2,544 cases of criminal offenses were recorded in the fields of environmental protection and mining, which increased by 6.3% compared to 2022, and by 22.1% compared to 2021. As a result of supervisory works, he calculated the damage caused to the environment and the state in the amount of 5,176,182,531 AMD.

The document states that "the amount of damage calculated during 2023 increased by 132.2% compared to 2022, and by 162.6% compared to 2021." As a result of the supervisory activities carried out by Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body, the volume of illegally extracted minerals found in the direction of soil management and protection has increased by 87.4% compared to the previous year.
