On August 7, Aram Osikyan, Director of “META GOLD” LLC, filed a lawsuit against “Armenian Forests” NGO and its Director Nazeli Vardanyan, demanding the retraction of defamatory information and 1 million AMD compensation for non-pecuniary damage caused to the business reputation of “META GOLD” LLC and the honor and dignity of Aram Osikyan.
The grounds of the lawsuit are the statements made public during the public hearings on the study of useful minerals of the Gladzor polymetallic deposit, which took place on July 7, 2025.
According to the claim published on the official website of the Judicial Information System, Aram Osikyan qualified the statements addressed to him as a defamation of honor and dignity.
The plaintiff, Aram Osikyan, demanded from the court to apply measures of securing the claim, prohibiting Nazeli Vardanyan and “Armenian Forests” NGO from publishing new statements, videos, or speeches with the disputed content in this case regarding “META GOLD,” Aram Osikyan, and the Gladzor polymetallic deposit project until the final court decision. At the same time, he demands that the persons managing the youtube.com media platform “Voice of Citizen” and the online platform cvmedia.am temporarily remove or make unavailable (inaccessible) the video recording containing Nazeli Vardanyan’s speech during the July 7 public hearings until the final judicial act is adopted.
According to the lawsuit, Aram Osikyan demands from the court to oblige Nazeli Vardanyan, within one week after the judgment enters into legal force, to refute the defamatory statements made against “META GOLD” LLC and Aram Osikyan during a public speech in the same place (editor’s note: meaning Yeghegnadzor House of Culture), through a video message, and to post the video message on Nazeli Vardanyan’s Facebook page, as well as on youtube.com and cvmedia.am platforms.
