The initiative group formed against the development of Hrazdan iron mine is going to protect their right to live in healthy environment in court.
Hrazdan residents are continuing their protest demonstrations. On October 25 about 50 members of the initiative group with banners calling for health and nature protection headed for the territory of the would-be mine and spoke to Arman Avetisyan, representative of “Vahan” geological prospecting camp, which is now conducting drilling works. Nevertheless, he mentioned his organization is only fulfilling an order.
Earlier this year Chinese “Fortune Oil” Company purchased most shares of “Nagin” Company and the company will start developing the mine in near future.
The initiative group formed against Hrazdan mine development gave time to the drilling company and warned they will come with a group of 1000 people in10 days.
