Trchkan Supporters Joining S.O.S. Hrazdan Public Campaign Aimed Against Hrazdan Mine Development (Photo)

The youth group, also known as Trchkan Waterfall Supporters, joined the campaign directed against Hrazdan iron mine development. 

A protest demonstration was held on 9 November organized by Hrazdan-based civic initiative. The protest demonstration was held against Fortune Oil Chinese Company which intends to develop the mine. 

After the protest demonstration the participants headed for the spot where drilling works are conducted. The drill operators almost didn’t keep in touch with protesters. Two places where works are conducted were left without any workers at all. On 12 November Trchkan Waterfall Supporters also headed to Hrazdan to the drillers, as Facebook network said it. 

Then we learnt that they told the police we are threatening their personal security and harm property. Police Deputy Head Nersisyan (apparently, the local division of police is meant) tried to invite us to the police station, but we didn't accept their invitation,' the Facebook post says.
