Police Refused PEF to Initiate Criminal Case against ‘Ler X’

Syunik Regional Division of Police refused to initiate a criminal case against ‘Ler X’ company based on Pan – Armenian Front’s report, as PEF informs.  The report was rejected with the following substantiation, “Though the waters emitted from the tailing dump of the ore dressing plant developed by ‘Ler X’ LLC are dumped into the Geghi River, water pollution didn’t occur, as the Nature Protection Ministry didn’t detect any excesses of the maximum permissible concentration in the waters flowing from Hanqasar ore dressing plant tailing dump, therefore, no damage was caused to flora and fauna, fish reserves, and ‘Ler X’ LLC director Valerik Margaryan’s actions don’t contain any crime laid down in Article 287 of RA Criminal Code.”
