The Environmental Inspection of the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia found violations in Akhtala Enrichment Combine. Violations of environmental legislation were found in “Akhtala ODC” CJSC in the result of State Environmental Inspection Program inspection, due to which the responsible person has been submitted to administrative responsibility. The company was fined 5,09 million drams for damaging the environment: polluting the water resources, using more water than it is permitted and exhausting harmful substances into the atmosphere. As a result of inspection the company was given appropriate instructions to eliminate violations of environmental legislation” Khazhak Aghabekyan, acting head of the staff at the RA Ministry of Nature Protection informed EcoLur about this by official letter. We should remind that 04.05.2015–08.05.2015 Lori Regional department detected violations during inspections it carried out, which resulted 300.0 thousands AMD fine for violation of water conservation norms , while the total damage caused to environmental was estimated in the amount of 5.09 million AMD. EcoLur sent a letter to the Ministry of Nature Protection, asking to mention the name of the person who did the violations.
