"Dundee Precious Metals Kapan" CJSC has been sold to Russian “Polymetal International” at a price of US $ 25 million. In regard with this decision, "Dundee Precious Metals Kapan" CJSC General Director Hrach Jabrayan told EcoLur, “It was a long process. There were many people who were interested in our mine. Kapan mine was not interesting for us in strategic regard and the right decision was to sell it, it was convenient both for us and for them. It’s just a business decision.” Hrach Jabrayan noted though "Dundee Precious Metals Kapan" CJSC won’t exist, Canadian-based "Dundee Precious Metals” Company won’t leave Armenia. The company has licenses for geoprosepcting two areas in Vayots Dzor in Armenia and will focus on these areas,” Hrach Jabrayan informed.
