The public hearings on the project of opencast development of Tezhasar mine for uncertain period. The discussion should have been held in Hrazdan on 3 May. According to Yerevan Aarhus Center, the hearings should have been organized by 'Alumina Production' LLC, which submitted the project to Nature Protection Ministry for expert assessment. The reasons why the hearings are postponed were not submitted by the company. Reminder: such resort zones as Hanqavan, Artavaz, Meghradzor and underground sources of mineral waters are located near the mine.
