Hrant Ayvazyan, a member of "Bright Armenia" faction in the National Assembly, addressed a question to RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on June 17, 2020. "Why don't we have an Environment Minister yet?" We also don’t have Head of Environmental and Mining Inspection Body. We don't have people in charge of the sector, but we have a lot of environmental issues. In response, RA Prime Minister said, “The Armenian government is responsible for all the issues you mentioned, moreover, all the governments. Now look, we were not lucky with Sevan blooming, in our time Sevan bloomed. But I hope our luck will bring it and it will not bloom again. I mean, it's a systemic problem.”
Hrant Ayvazyan responded, “Is it possible to join the ministry with another ministry in the future?” Nikol Pashinyan said that there are no such plans at the moment.
