Azerbaijan Expands Zone of Military Actions Involving Territory of Republic of Armenia As Well

On 29 September, military actions were progress in the territory of the Republic of Armenia as well. The Foreign Ministry of Armenia  informs that the Azerbaijani armed forces attacked the civilian-military infrastructure in the Vardenis region, including targeting the civilian population, as a result of which one civilian was killed.

A civilian bus caught fire in Vardenis, no one was injured. Fighting continues along the entire length of the contact line of the Artsakh-Azerbaijani border. "TOS-1A heavy artillery systems are used in individual directions during the offensive operations. The use of TOS, Smerch and other large-caliber systems changes the logic and scope of military actions taking them to a new level.

She also informed that the units of the Defense Army confidently repel all attack attempts of the enemy causing heavy losses of equipment and manpower. "The Azerbaijani side is trying to attack using artillery, UAVs and armored forces. The units of the Defense Army are successfully stopping the enemy's attacks, causing significant losses of manpower and armored vehicles. According to the supplemented information, as a result of the actions of the Armenian fighters, the enemy lost 11 UAVs, including 1 strike vehicle, 1 engineering armored vehicle, 4 82A armored personnel carriers, 5 tanks. The enemy also has a large loss of manpower.” RA Defense Ministry Press Secretary Shushan Stepanyan posted.

It should be noted that since the early morning of September 27, the Azerbaijani armed forces have been conducting large-scale military operations along the line of contact between the Artsakh and Azerbaijani armed forces.
