Initiative on Planting 10 Million Trees Launched in Tavush Region

On October 29, the initiative of Environment Ministry to plant 10 million trees was launched in Hovq community Tavush Region. Deputy Environment Minister Anna Mazmanyan, Tavush Regional Head Hayk Chobanyan and Director of "Hayantar" SNCO P. Tsugunyan took part in this initiative, as Environment Ministry informs.

In the first phase of the program, it is planned to plant 1 million trees. About 30 thousand saplings will be planted in the territory of "Ijevan Forestry Enterprise". The main forest species will be pine, oak, and other accompanying trees - ash, maple, spruce.

Register on www.10m.am website and become 1 in 10 million. "Anyone can plant their own tree in a specially designated place, naming it after themselves, and following it through the interactive calculator of the site," the Environment Ministry says in its statement.
