As a result of the inspections carried out by RA Ministry of Environment in Tashir forestry branches in "ArmForest" SNCO in Lori Region, 157 cases of illegal felling of trees of different diameters were revealed, as a result of which the flora incurred a total material damage of about 7.5 million AMD. According to RA Prosecutor's Office, the inspections included the period of November 2016-2021 to find out the cases of illegal logging.
Considering the received data, a criminal case was initiated in Lori Region Prosecutor's Office on the grounds of Article 296 (Part 3) Article 315 (Part 2) of RA Criminal Code. The criminal case was sent to Lori Regional Investigation Department of RA Investigation Committee with the assignment of conducting a comprehensive, full and objective preliminary investigation.
