The share of the Republic of Armenia in the capital of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) will be 4.22%. At the session of March 9, 2023, RA Government approved the draft agreement "between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Russian Federation on the sale and purchase of the share of the Russian Federation in the paid-up charter capital of the Eurasian Development Bank".
According to the rationale of the project, the Republic of Armenia will buy 64,000 shares worth 64 million US dollars in order to have that share.
According to the justification agreement, the project aims to regulate the legal relations related to the redistribution of the share of the Russian Federation in the capital of EDB.
Reminder: the Eurasian Development Bank should invest 100 million dollars for the Amulsar project.
On February 22, 2023, a tripartite memorandum of understanding was signed between RA government, Eurasian Development Bank and "Lydian Armenia" CJSC.
