On April 27 the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Armenia celebrated the birthday of King Willem-Alexander. Koningsdag or the King's Day is a national holiday that is directly related to the monarch's birthday and symbolizes national unity and solidarity. Many high-ranking guests, representatives of the Armenian government, diplomatic missions and international organizations operating in the country, partners and friends took part in the celebration of the King’s birthday.
For the second time since its establishment, the embassy is celebrated Koningsdag in Armenia, in difficult times for the world, the region and Armenia, noted HE Ambassador Nico Schermers.
Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, was also present at the King's Day celebration, congratulated the government of the Netherlands and its friendly people on behalf of his country's government on the occasion of the national holiday.
