RA Investigative Committee found out all the circumstances of violations of the requirements for preservation or use of the soil as a result of the illegal use of the soil in the Araks river basin, as well as the destruction of the land, as we learn from the website of RA Investigative Committee.
Reminder: on December 21, 2020, the employees of RA Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body carried out measurements in the Araks river basin in Yeghegnavan and Lusarat villages, Ararat Region, and recorded that illegal extraction of sand was carried out outside the area of the mineral extraction permit granted to the LLC. Criminal proceedings were initiated in connection with the incident.
In particular, during the investigation, factual data was obtained that the director of the company, not having that right, deviated from the coordinates provided by the permit issued in 2012, then amended in 2014, in the subsoil area containing a certain geographic demarcation and went beyond the limits provided by the mountain allocation act in the period from December 21, 2020 to August 30, 2022.
Based on the obtained sufficient facts, the director of the company was charged under Article 383 (1) and Article 381(1) of RA Criminal Code. During the preliminary investigation, the entire damage caused to the state in the amount of 6,500,000 AMD was recovered.
