On July 16, 2025, by Presidential Decree NH-182-A issued by President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Hambardzum Matevosyan was appointed as the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia.
Prior to this, by Government Decision 627-A, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan relieved Hambardzum Matevosyan of his duties as Prime Minister’s Chief Advisor on 15 July.
