3500-4000 l/sec water is saved due to the liquidation and conservation of 46 illegal wells, as of 1 January 2014, as the annual report of Nature Protection Ministry says. Out of 3314 deep wells in Ararat Valley, 1379 wells are located in Ararat Region, out of which 281 are illegal ones and 1935 are located in Armavir Region subject to liquidation, including 285 illegal ones. 389 deep wells have been detected in Ararat Valley subject to liquidation, 993 are subject to conservation, out of which 203 deep wells in Ararat Region are subject to liquidation and 241 are subject to conservation, and the figures for Armavir Region are 186 and 752, respectively.
