Kapan-based social activist and lawyer Arshavir Khalapyan informed about his detention at the Criminal Investigation Department of Syunik Region, as journalists wrote on www.forrights.am. Arshavir Khalapyan’s statement particularly says that he was detained as his activities were unfavourable for Syunik Village Head and tycoon Ashot Kuyumjyan. Khalapyan is charged with Article 200 (3) of the Criminal Code of Armenia (taking a commercial bribe).
Reminder: Arshavir Khalapyan has been dealing with social activities for several years and represented Kapan Division of Association of Young Lawyers.
