On 25 September the Armenian Government appointed Surik Khachatryan as Syunik Regional Head. Reminder: in 2013 Surik Khachatryan resigned from the office of Syunik Regional Head, which was conditioned with the tragic accident near his house, when Artak Budaghyan was shot, while Surik Khachatryan’s son was charged with his assassination. After Surik Khachatryan’s resignation Syunik Regional Head’s position was held by Vahe Halobyan – “Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine” CJSC Ex Director’s son. In September 2014 Vahe Hakobyan was appointed as the Chairman of State Committee on Water Industry leaving the office of Syunik Regional Head vacant.
