Japanese and Swiss Contribute Money for Reconstruction of Rural School

With current high-level migration from the regions of Armenia it's particularly importat to improve conditions for elderl population. The Armenian Women for Health and Healthy Environment (AWHHE) carried out a total reconstruction of the school in Ditak Village, Ararat Region for the new academic ear with the financial support of the Japanese Embassy in Armenia and Swiss 'Sourire vers l'avenir' Foundation. The school, which hasn;t experienced any rehabilitation since 1968, has 70 pupils. The roof has been changed to a new one. The basis has been reinforced and toilers built. New glasses and doors have been mantled for energy efficiency purposes. For these measures the Japanese Embassy into Armenia provided US $ 198,000, while Swiss 'Sourire vers l'avenir' Foundation provided US $166,000. Ararat Regional Governor expressed his gratitude for their contribution into the school rehabilitation, as the children in Ditak Village will obtain optimum conditions for learning and development.
