Nature Protection Minister’s decree on 04.11.2015 no. 320-A bans temporarily fishing and crawfish hunting in Lake Sevan and rivers flowing into it (20.11-25.12.15 and 06.01-20.01.16) and based on this decree “Sevan” National Park SNCO took measures and detected 439 illegal fishing nets, 345 crawfish traps and 3 swimming items. The working group established with Nature Protection Minister Aramayis Grigoryan’s decree recorded and destroyed the abovementioned items in the statutory procedure. 317 kg of Sevan whitefish had also been confiscated, which was passed to orphanages and old people’s homes.
