The Nature Protection Ministry intends to develop ecotourism in Ararat Region, as as Nature Protection Minister Aramayis Grigoryan said during the consultation held in the region and outlined the area of Khor Virap as ecotourism area, where there is bird migration observation spot. He also said that the observation site should be improved to increase the number of tourists from Europe wanting to follow bird migration from Europe. It will also promote to the development of ecotourism in the regiom, as Khor Virap is the cradle of the Armenian Christian culture.
