Around 21,200,000 damage has been caused to environment because of the breakdown of the tail pipe owned by 'Kapan Ore Processing Combine' CJSC on 29 November 2016. The leak caused the contamination of 1808 square meter area, as Nature Protection Ministry Information and Public Relations Department Head Armen Vardanyan informed EcoLur. The materials on the damage caused to environment has been submitted to RA Prosecutor's Office.
