On January 12, "European Media Platform in Armenia. building reliable and professional media" project results were summarized in Yerevan.
During the award ceremony, the program participants were congratulated by Head of EU Delegation to Armenia, EU Ambassador Mrs. Andrea Victorin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland John Gallagher, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany Viktor Richter, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Nicholas Jacob Schermers and the representatives of the German TV station Dolce Vele.
"We really managed to register encouraging results. Our students had the opportunity to fully see both the attractive aspects of a journalist's work and the difficulties," said Arevik Sahakyan, editor-in-chief of Factor.am.
12 students received awards. The authors of the 4 works that received the highest marks from the professional jury received special awards.
Environmental themes were primary in the materials presented by the students. Inga Zarafyan, President of "EcoLur" Informational NGO, congratulated the entire team of "Factor.TV", donors and participants of the program.
"We see good results and we hope to have a new generation of skilled journalists," he said, "We live in a complex world where everything is valued in money, but the value of nature is very difficult to value in money. A person who enters this field enters a conflict field where different political, economic, social and environmental interests collide. They must be brave and have skills. Nature has no voice, you represent the voice of nature, don't forget about it."
