The Whole Republic Knows Me: Who Are You? Scandal at Public Hearings

The public hearings on the environmental impact assessment of Nor Shirak-Artashat and Argavand-Shirak roads held on 14 February turned into a real scandal. Only three people took part in the hearings from the public sector. At first, the security hindered the public representatives to enter the building of Yerevan Municipality, where the hearings were held. Silva Adamyan expressed an idea that the hearings have imitation nature, as even Nature Protection Ministry representative doesn’t take part in it. The situation got tenser and the allegations and offenses were addressed to the public representative. It was clear that the discussion of the project was not possible.
