“Aram Harutyunyan, who held the office of Nature Protection Minister for the longest period – 7 years (2007-2014), continued Vardan Ayvazyan’s policy with the difference, when Vardan Ayvazyan was adopting an untienvironmental decision, he said it’s a political decision, while Aram Harutyunyan said it would disturb the business, when there was a conflict of interests between business and environment,” said “EcoLur” Informational NGO President Inga Zarafyan at the press conference held at “EcoLur” Press Club on 6 May.
She mentioned that the best proof for the elimination of water resources in Armenia is the disastrous situation in Ararat Valley. “We can see how the World Bank loaning projects directly support our water using companies, who are overexploiting our water resources. We waster our budget funds on imitative actions. Resigned Minister Aram Harutyunyan never supported nature, just the opposite, he signed under two illegal decision connected with developing artificial fish farming in Lake Sevan and additional water outlets.” What about newly appointed minister Aramayis Grigoryan, Inga Zarafyan said, “The new minister is a man from business.”

Teghout support civic initiative member Arthur Grigoryan thinks the business mustn’t be outlined.
