The draft decision on the procedure for calculating and paying the additional sums received from the sale of electricity generated as a result of additional water intake from Lake will be submitted to the RA Prime Minister's Office on November 3, 2021. Reminder: this year, at the suggestion of the executive, RA National Assembly passed the bill on carrying out additional 75 million cubic meters of water intake from Lake Sevan, bringing the volume of water intake to 245 million cubic meters. In fact, 57.651 million cubic meters of additional water was released from the lake. It is for this volume of water intake that the order of payment of the money received from the sale of electricity produced in Sevan-Hrazdan hydroelectric complex must be registered and what it will be spent for.
It should be noted that as a result of additional water intake and evaporation, the level of Lake Sevan dropped by 40 cm from its highest point of this year from 1900.91 m to 1900.51 m as of November 3.
