Citizens vacationing in Aregun settlement in Vardenis consolidated community, Gegharkunik Region, contacted EcoLur about the blooming of Lake Sevan.
"We came to rest on the shore of Lake Sevan for a few days. The children swam into the water, but after a while they said that they did not feel well, they had a feeling of suffocation. Is the presence of green algae in Lake Sevan dangerous for swimmers?" they asked, sending a photo of the green lake. EcoLur advised the author of the alarm signal not to swim in the green parts of the lake.
EcoLur draws the attention of the Ministries of Environment and Health to these and similar cases and calls for appropriate professional conclusions.
