Every year since 1999, the last Sunday of August is celebrated as Lake Sevan Day. This year, Lake Sevan Day fell on August 28.
On the occasion of the day, Environment Ministry organized meetings with schoolchildren in Gegharkunik Region, where cleaning works were carried out in the two littoral areas of Lake Sevan in Sevan community and Drakhtik village.
