Concentrations of Ammonium and Phosphate Ions High in Point Flowing into Hrazdan River

On July 15, an alarm signal was received that foamy water of unknown origin is pouring into the Hrazdan river in the Hrazdan gorge section.

"Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO employees of the Ministry of Environment, having arrived at the scene, carried out sampling from 3 points from the foam water discharge point, above and below the discharge point.

Under the operative observations, the concentrations of ammonium and phosphate ions are quite high at the foam water discharge point, which is typical of sewage water, as "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO informs.

EcoLur appealed to RA Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body to find out whether the inspection body identified those guilty, what kind of damage was caused to nature and what fine was imposed.
