RA Kotayk regional municipality replied to EcoLur that it will strictly watch the problem of felling trees in the yard areas in Charentsavan.
Reminder: "EcoLur" Informational NGO received an alarm from the residents of Charentsavan, Kotayk Region, Armenia, that the green spaces in the courtyards of the city are being destroyed for construction. They damage the trees, burn them, cut them down, and pour cement near the trunks to dry the trees.
In his letter No. 02/05.1/06279-2022 dated 25.10.2022 sent by Levon Petrosyan, the general secretary of Kotayk Regional Municipality, it is stated:
"I would like to inform you that no alarm signal was received from the residents of Charentsavan town regarding tree felling in the yard areas to A Kotayk regional municipality.
At the same time, it is informed that we will pursue the prevention of such phenomena."
