At present a fish farm is operating on the spot of former pesticide depository in Jrarat Community, Ararat Region.

You can find hundred kilograms of pesticides in two buildings of the former depository, some part is in bags, while the other part is in barrels, while another part is spread all over the territory of the depository. Pesticide bags are torn apart, while wind spread pesticides from the buildings into environment and the territory of fish farm. In some bags DDT content exceeds 50%.

Reminder: in 2010 Pesticide and Hazardous Substances Management Head of Nature Protection Ministry Anahit Aleksandryan said there are no other pesticides in Armenia, but Nubarashen waste burial site.
