“Teghout” General Director CJSC Vladimir Nalivayko responded to the request of “EcoLur” Informational NGO on temporary suspension of “Teghout” CJSC activity. He refuted the suspension of the company's activities due to sanctions against Russia, and stated that the strengthening of Teghout tailing dump has been accomplished and it is planned to build up the pipeline of the water collector running from the tailing dump. The response says: “The information that Teghout CJSC has completely stopped its production activities for an indefinite period as a result of sanctions imposed on Russia due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict is false.
Due to the political and economic situation in the world, the logistics chain for the supply of finished products produced by Teghout CJSC has been disrupted, therefore, at present it has to be rebuilt. In this given situation, the Company adjusted its plans for repair work and work to strengthen the dam of the tailing dump.
In connection with the completion of the first stage of work aimed at enhancing the dam of the tailing dump, the rock dam was loaded with about 1 million tons, the second stage has launched where it is planned to carry out reinforcing and concrete work to build up the pipeline of the collector of water running from the tailing dump until March 31, 2022, as its implementation is impossible without stopping the processing of ore at Ore Dressing Plant.”
